One of the best things about technology is that as a whole, it?s in a constant state of motion. Technology never stays the same. The devices we use are constantly upgraded and remodeled to enhance the users overall experience using it. For this reason we?ve seen several versions of Apple?s iPad released in 2012, along with the introduction of new tablet technologies like the Microsoft Surface and Google?s Nexus 10.
Tablet technologies are quickly gaining popularity and will someday soon take over the place of a laptop computer. Similarly, smartphones like the Apple iPhone, Microsoft Windows Phone, and the Samsung Galaxy were all released in 2012, gradually pushing our normal cell phones into extinction. So many new gadgets, all in the same year, and 2013 will follow suit.
One new technology to watch out for is called Leap Motion. Their product, which is scheduled for release in 2013, converts traditional desktop and laptop computers into a motion sensing device. In other words, you?ll be able to check your email, read Google news, build your family tree and connect with loved ones over Facebook and Skype without needing to use your keyboard and mouse.
The best part is you don?t need a new computer. You simply add the Leap Motion device to your current computer setup and it?s instantly converted into a motion sensing machine. It?s quite remarkable. Be sure to watch their demonstration video so you truly understand how this will change the way we interact with our household computers in the near future.
Surprisingly enough, there is a great new thermostat technology called Nest planned for release in 2013. Nest is a thermostat that learns how your home likes the temperature to be regulated, not only for comfort, but also to save energy. Whether it?s extra warm at night to stay cozy during the winter months, or cool when everyone leaves for their regular morning exercises, Nest learns every time you use it, so it eventually does all the work for you. Also, Nest is WIFI enabled, which means you can access your thermostat from your smartphone when you?re out of the house.
Isn?t it nice to think about warming up the house for a couple hours right before you get home from a ski trip? You can bet that there will be many more things you?ll be able to control in your home from a smartphone using the Internet. Security systems, lights, and even cameras are already available and getting more and more popular.
Probably the most incredible technology expected in 2013 is a revolutionary idea in the automotive industry. Sometime in the near future, Cadillac Super Cruise will be available, allowing drivers to remove their hands from the wheel while the vehicle drives itself.
In a nutshell, high tech computers and semi-autonomous intelligence monitor the side of the road and the cars around the vehicle simultaneously. With this information, Cadillac Super Cruise calculates a safe speed to travel and maintains a safe distance from obstacles on the road.
This means that when you drive from your retirement home to the theatre, you can sit back and read your e-reader with a cup of tea. Now, 2013 won?t actually create this scenario for us, as the technology is brand new.
Think of how many digital cameras existed before there was actually a good one at a reasonable price. It?s important to recognize that the technology is in development and will eventually get here with more upgrading and remodeling.
What a great year it will be for seniors and technology. Imagine 5 years from now?

Many times, buyers have a pretty good idea of value just from seeing a lot of homes with their Realtor?, and keeping track of which ones have sold.
Other times, buyers feel pressured to bid more than they're comfortable for because their Realtor?'s CMA indicates a higher price than they want to pay.
So don't hate on her for not offering to do a CMA, simply tell her that like her to do one.

Why don't you get started on that little project in your spare time?
I would suggest that you're looking at the problem incorrectly though. The atoms did not arrange themselves into nerves, etc, all by themselves. You've simply leaped past a couple of very critical things, like viable DNA donors, cooperating to create yet more healthy, viable DNA.
Hell, if all that were required were a bunch of atoms, we could take hydrocarbons almost at random, throw them in a blender, and wait for a child to birth itself

On the internet, this just won?t work. There?s not enough space to promote your entire product. So what should you do? You should drive all of your prospects to your website ? where you can display your full sales message. This can be a page that has the picture of your product on there along with some sales description, or even a squeeze page.
Just whatever you do, don?t try to sell your product via your ad. It?s ineffective, you don?t have enough room, you will find yourself cramping your ad just to fill it up with information, and you will totally miss the point behind ?lead generation?. What exactly is lead generation?
Lead generation is the process of driving someone to your website with the intent of signing up to your email newsletter. Once they sign up to your email newsletter, typically they will receive a freebie of some sort, and you should also give them the opportunity to buy your product via something called an ?OTO page?.
OTO stands for ?one time offer?. Alot of online business owners online actually hold true to the fact that after you see the one time offer? you will never see it again. And then there are other marketers where you can easily see the OTO page again, and actually try to buy it.
Lead generation is something that all online business owners should do. And it doesn?t matter what kind of business that you?re in. Virtually all online business owners can use lead generation in their business. You can offer free reports, free ebooks, free software, free consultations, free audios, free videos, and etc. There are alot of things that you can offer for free to get people to subscribe to your email newsletter.
After you generate the lead, then that?s when the real selling process begins. You can contact them regularly via email with tips and a pitch for your product at the end of it. There are alot of things that you can do with your own list. You can offer tele-seminars, get consistent sales, run joint ventures, and etc. The larger your list, the better.
Hopefully you see why you should never try to sell anything in your ad. If this was offline marketing, could you see any sense of trying to sell something in the small spot of a classified ad? This would look ridiculous right? But believe it or not, people do it everyday ? desperate for money, instead of having a sound and solid business plan to fall back on.
Take these tips and take my advice on not selling via ads, but instead gather leads from your lead generation efforts, and begin getting sales and finally profiting in your business.
Good luck with marketing your online business.

Family-run information technology business Information Leadership is expanding its operations in Wellington, where 60 per cent of its clients are.
The Christchurch-based business hired nine new staff in the capital during the past year at its Woodward St offices in Wellington's CBD, where half of its national staff members work.
Sarah Heal and partner, Grant Margison, started Information Leadership in 2004 to focus on managing documents, records and information to meet Public Records Act requirements and consult on change management.
The pair, who, together, are parents to two children aged 10 and 3, both had backgrounds in business, information management and IT. Starting out with two clients, the firm had now worked with 150 companies and revenues reached $3.5 million last year.
"I like making order out of chaos. You hear the phrase information management and think that's someone sitting away in an office sorting things out but what it's really about is helping people get value from the tools and resources they've got available so they can get away from customer distractions, use the tools they've got to be really productive and have a good time when they come to work in the morning," Heal said.
Business dramatically changed in 2007 when Microsoft released its Sharepoint program that allowed multiple people to collaborate on documents in a "more flexible" way. Some clients approached Information Leadership with questions about how to best use the programme and if it was best for their business so they began helping people with implementation and user adoption.
The firm also developed its own products to work with Sharepoint. Smart Folders, that manages large quantities of files such as case files for projects or personnel files, is one of the most popular.
About 70-80 per cent of clients are in the public sector but Information Leadership also deals with education, polytechnics, health companies, Crown research institutes and legal firms.
This year, as well as expanding its Wellington operations, the firm plans to launch a "significant" new version of its records management program.
"This is a very big deal for us. We came out with Version 2 a few years ago and that's done pretty well but the feedback we've had from customers is it could be even easier and simpler to use, so we've had our top record keepers and Sharepoint developers working on it and we're very proud of it," Heal said.
"In September 2011, a chap called Ian Morris, ex-Microsoft, joined us in Wellington. He's got huge credentials and knowledge so with Ian on board we were able to get really serious in Wellington . . . we're still hiring."
Heal said the couple did not put a strong line between work and family life, with whiteboards for brainstorming and business planning lining the walls of their dining room at home.
"We try and manage it so that we're not both travelling at the same time. We've got amazing people we work with. We're both very regular exercisers and that's really one of the keys to keeping sane if you run a business and a family - you have got to have some outlet outside of that."
